There are many reasons to join the Canadian Organization of Medical Physicists. Perhaps one of the most important benefits is the expansion of your professional network to over 700 contacts. These are medical physicists, like you, who are actively involved in the profession and committed to continuously improving and enhancing the way things are done.
You will have opportunities to meet face-to-face with your peers at events such as the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), Winter School and other conferences and meetings supported through COMP. These events allow for continued education and ensure that you are kept up to date on research, changing guidelines and new protocols within the industry. As an extra benefit, members will receive a discounted registration fee for the ASM.
If you are unable to attend a conference, you will still be able to stay abreast of what’s new and exciting through the quarterly newsletter, InterACTIONS. Current issues and archives are available on the COMP website.
While it is important to stay current on events within the field, you may also be interested in how to direct your personal career. COMP supports members in this regard through a Career and Education section on the website. This section is home to current job postings, salary survey and information for continued education.
For more information, please contact the COMP office.
