All for One – Collaborating and Innovating for Person-Centred Care
The CARO-COMP-CAMRT 2018 Joint Scientific Meeting will highlight advances in the field of Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics that lead to improvements in the person-centred care.
After the conference, the participants should be able to:
- Discuss the indications, patient outcomes, technical aspects and cost-benefits analysis of proton therapy, from both the Radiation Oncology and Medical Physics perspectives.
- Understand quality control of radiation treatments, including exploring and discussing the new Canadian Partnership for Quality Radiotherapy (CPQR) mandate on equitable access to care, patterns of care, patient-reported outcomes, and also challenges related to the peer-review process of radiation therapy.
- Describe and initiate research by radiation oncologists, medical physicists and radiation therapists within Canada.
- Highlight inter-professional collaboration and improve patient care.
